Limited Demographic!
We are open writer/artist who self-identify as queer/LGBTQIA/pan/non-binary. Our cishet/ cisallohet allies, are welcome to submit, but we ask that the story center around a character who self-identifies as queer/LGBTQIA/pan/non-binary.
No identity proof is necessary!
Importantly, please submit as you feel seen. This issue is to celebrate queerness in all its forms, experiences, and expressions. If you feel excluded as a queer individual, please let me know. I want to encourage all who love and support our amazing community to feel welcome.

We want all forms of original, non-AI generated fiction! For encouragement:
All writers are welcome, but we would love stories from self-identified QTPOC and BIPOC writers.
Queer characters! Queer romance! Queer fantasy/science fiction! All things queer!
Second person narratives!
Vignettes
Surrealism, magical realism, fabulism, slipstream, anything that might be deemed unconventional.
Cross genre or genre-bending stories.
Horror/dark fiction are welcome, but do not make them gruesome or graphic.

Homophobia, racism, classism, sexism, any and all forms of hate speech, or words used to deem, degrade, or harm another human being.
Please no stories involving sexual violence. We do not want to diminish these voices, but unfortunately we are not the market for these stories.
Please no stories involving animal cruelty or harm. Animal death is fine, if its an emotional point of the story. Do not torture or kill animals unnecessarily.
Please no AI-generated stories.
While we hope to one day open to poetry, at this time we do not accept this form.
Submission Guidelines
If you submitted to the previous period, PLEASE feel free to send the same story if you want.
Reprints are not accepted at this time.
Payments can be sent through PayPal, Venmo, TransferWise, WorldRemit, Western Union, or other methods to creatives around the world. Please note unfortunately wire transfers are not available at this time.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted and encouraged, but please inform us immediately if the story is accepted elsewhere.
Multiple submissions are also welcome. If your story is rejected, please feel free to send another story. A previously rejected story will only be reconsidered if substantive changes are made (you can be the judge of “substantive”).
Response time may vary. We try to decide within 30 days. If you have not heard from us after 90 days, please email us. An email confirmation should arrive after submission. If not, please email us to make sure it was received!
Please submit all stories as doc., docx., .rtf, or .pdf only in the Standard Manuscript Format (Shunn; this is not strict, but please follow as best as you can).
Please include a short third-person bio so we can get to know you and to go with the piece should it be accepted.

We accept the following original works of speculative (fantasy, science fiction) and literary fiction in English with the accompanying payment rates via PayPal/Zelle:
Up to 5 flash pieces at once (< 1,000 words): $0.02 per word.
Up to 2 short stories pieces at once (1,000-6,000 words): $20 honorarium.
For speculative fiction, I tend to like “softer” forms though I’m not opposed to the harder stuff. I LOVE magical realism/fabulism, surrealism, slipstream.
